Liverpool manager Arne Slot is confident star striker Mohamed Salah will not be distracted by a new contract.
“I’ve said many times that we don’t disclose things inside the โปรโมชั่น ufabet club. The only thing I can say is if I look at my line-up, Mo is staying rather than leaving. That’s what I can tell you,” Slot said.
“I don’t think he’s distracted at all. I didn’t see him distracted after the Man United game, when he made some comments, or after the posts you’ve told me. *I didn’t see anything from training today and he’s still committed.”
“He’s fully focused on tomorrow’s game. I think these things are big for the media and the fans. But I don’t see any players talking about it in training, at least when I’m in training.”
“The players are focused on the short-term goals and those are the games against Madrid and Man City. Of course it’s important (the contract) but it’s the club’s job, not the players.”
“So I don’t think he or any other player will be distracted, and neither will I. Yesterday I was busy preparing the team as best I could and there was no time when I thought about sitting here and answering questions about Mo.”
Salah has made a fine start to the season, scoring 10 goals in 12 Premier League games, but his future remains a question mark with just six months left on his current deal.
The 32-year-old told reporters after Sunday’s win over Southampton that he had not received any offer from the Reds to extend his contract and admitted that he is more likely to move than stay.
